Attention public school teachers! Come build your own smartphone microscope with a UNC scientist. Funded in part through the National Science Foundation (NSF), The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Biology Professor, Bob Goldstein, will lead teachers through a simple DIY workshop to build a high quality, low cost smartphone/iPad digital microscope. Participants will take the microscopes back to the classrooms and use them to show microscopic views of insects, cells, matter or whatever your classroom scientists desire! The workshop serves teachers in our local public schools, provides opportunity for professional development, as well as encourages idea and resource exchange. Advanced registration is required. This free workshop is only available to public school teachers. To register, email Deanna Patrick at patrick@kidzuchildrensmuseu
