An Insider’s History of the North Carolina State Fair @ Wilson Library | Chapel Hill | North Carolina | United States

Join the North Carolina Collection at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Wilson Library as Wesley Wyatt, manager of the North Carolina State Fair, shares memories from his long tenure with the fair and discusses the challenges of running the 11-day event in the 21st century.

North Carolina will celebrate the 150th state fair when the midway gates open on October 12, 2017. It will mark Wyatt’s more than 40 years of involvement with the annual event. Manager of the fair since 1997, Wyatt was a Raleigh high school student when he got his first job on the fairgrounds.
