CHS Presents “Chicago”

Join Carrboro High School as they unveil a story of murder and jazz in the 1920s with this spring’s musical, Chicago. Set in the Windy City during the Jazz Age, Chicago tells the story of two rival vaudevillian murderesses locked up in Cook County Jail. Nightclub star Velma Kelly (played by Gianna Rini) is serving time for killing her husband and sister after discovering their affair, and chorus girl Roxie Hart (played by Ally Millar) has been tossed in the joint for bumping off her lover. Both women enlist the defense of lawyer Billy Flynn (played by Presyce Baez) and vie for the the attention of the press. With cunning tricks up their sleeves, can these merry murderesses find a way off death row? Find out April 14 - 16 at 7:30 PM in the Carrboro High Auditorium. Tickets may be purchased at seatyourself.biz/jagtheatre and are $5 for students, $10 for adults, and free for CHCCS faculty and staff. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly suggested.
