National Falls Prevention Awareness Day – Friday September 22 is observed the first day of fall to promote and increase public awareness on how to prevent and reduce falls among older adults. FREE Balance Screening, footwear examinations, exercise demonstrations, walker and cane fitting adjustments and consultations are available with appointment request. These screenings will be provided by UNC University Physical Therapy and ElderFit In Home Rehab. This FREE event will take place on Friday, September 22 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at the Seymour Center in Chapel Hill.
The registration deadline is Tuesday, September 15.
