We are not the grandparents of yesteryear. Grandparenting has changed with grandchildren oftentimes living far away and having limited personal interaction. Join us as we visit four topics to help you with this new age of grandparenting. We will cover such topics as: long distance interaction, connecting through the use of technology (Skype, video messaging, email, etc.), building your relationship (listening, stepping out of comfort zone, having deep/tough conversations), and the “New Normal”. Minimum participation for the session is 15 and the maximum participation is 20. Sessions will take place at the Seymour Center in Chapel Hill on consecutive Wednesdays beginning on October 4 and ending on October 25. The sessions will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Register by Wednesday, September 27 for all 4 classes, or a week prior to each class. The fee is $10.00 per class, and the instructor will be Michelle Porchia.
